Program Description

Better SuperVision graduates are quite keen to apply the skills and knowledge they gain from their learning in their workplaces.  To maximize the application of Better SuperVision learning it is essential that graduates work closely with their peers and more senior company management in a supportive and planned way.

To this end, Leaders Building Leaders offers a three day program designed to bridge the Better SuperVision learning process with more senior supervision in order to facilitate front line supervisor development in a quick effective manner.  Leaders Building Leaders is targeted for Project Superintendents and General Foremen who will gain tools and techniques to assess, develop, and coach/mentor front line supervisors with the goal of enhancing overall work performance.

Program Learning Objectives:

The Leaders Building Leaders Program is delivered over three days.  In the first two days participants will be able to:

  • Identify the business drivers for skilled supervision
  • Understand and apply the different types of development roles 
  • Assess and learn to use different learning/teaching styles
  • Prepare training and development plans for front line supervisors
  • Apply effective communication skills for developing front line foreman
  • Select and apply appropriate coaching/development strategies

During the third day (usually offered 3-4 weeks after the first two days) participants will experience an action learning environment where they can further develop their training and development action plans and hands on coaching skills applied with Foreman.
